We are made new at the time of salvation, old things (our sins) pass away, and we are made new creations in Christ. So our past no longer holds power over us. The problem is that we often don’t grasp hold of this truth. we still allow our life to be bogged down in guilt, resentment, or attitudes that will eventually cause us to stumble into the same bondages or addictions that Christ set us free from.
