On Wednesday August 31st at 7pm Redemption Place of Allegan will be hosting an Outdoor Worship Experience. I am very excited for this night; for one I will be one of the musicians. While I am not a great guitarist by any means, I thoroughly enjoy playing and watching others enter into the presence of God as they worship. I think what I love to see even more is how God through the moving of His Spirit touches each heart uniquely different and speaks to every soul in a way that breaks down the barriers in their own life and then how He draws everyone together and corporately closer to Himself. As the author of Hebrews declares, our God is a consuming fire, and during times of worship He truly does consume hearts and lives that are passionately reaching out to Him.
THIS IS THE TIME
This is the time to worship Him! Zephaniah 3 says:
14Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
15The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.
16In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.
17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
In John chapter 4, Jesus reminded a Samaritan woman at the well that the time is coming and even now is when the worshippers will be gathered and will worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
To worship in the Spirit means to have the presence of Christ in the midst of your worship. Where the presence of Christ is there are miracles, transformations, healings, supernatural wonders, and so much more. However, we are advised by the Apostles Paul that we are to pray and sing in the Spirit and with the understanding also (1 Cor. 14). The understanding parallels what Christ called worshipping in truth. Worship in truth is to have the understanding of what Christ is up to and what He desires for you. His desire is always to your benefit.
There truly is no better time to worship our Lord. So, come on out to Redemption Place of Allegan on Wednesday August 31st at 7pm for an Outdoor Worship Experience you will never forget.
