Daily Bible reading plan – 4/19

In today’s reading, I was captured by what Paul had spoken to the Galatian church. Anyone preaching or teaching a message or “gospel” contrary to what Paul and the apostles had already declared was to be cursed. It’s a shame that we do not adhere to this same standard today. Instead, we allow those teaching and preaching false messages to continue and are afraid to challenge any “new” doctrine for fear of being labeled a traditionalist who is not open to the higher teachings of the “spirit”. Jude spoke concerning these days when he said to “contend earnestly for the faith once and for all delivered unto the saints”. (Vs 3) the church needs to stand up and with boldness begin to curse these so-called higher teachings that speak in contrary to the true gospel message.
