Rev. David Wilkerson Passes

I heard today the news of the Home Going of Rev. David Wilkerson. Rev. David Wilkerson was the founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade. Rev. Wilkerson started his World Challenge and Teen Challenge ministries. On the TSCNYC church website it says “Pastor David Wilkerson’s was a life fully given for the glory of God and souls of men. He was greatly loved and he will be greatly missed.” I cannot begin to express how much his monthly newsletters have picked me up, encouraged me, even giving me preaching material.
